Why Choose Flat Screen TV Stands?
By Lee Sundance

The advent of flat screen televisions has not only revolutionized your TV viewing but also the design of your entire entertainment center. You no longer need to be saddled with big, bulky television or entertainment stands that take up a lot of space in your house. These older television stands had to be wider to accommodate your old television and the options were rather limited compared to the new flat screen TV stands available these days. The popularity of LCD and Plasma TVs is constantly increasing, and if you have not yet purchased one, you are probably likely to do so in the near future. These TVs offer a crisper image, cleaner, sleeker designs and are available in a whole host of sizes. With the multitude of different LCD and Plasma TVs on the market, it’s no wonder that there are just as many options of television stands to chose from.

You will notice when you start shopping around that there are essentially two types of flat screen TV stands available. The first type is the classic and more traditional rectangular TV stand. This stand is available in many different shapes and sizes and is a good option for a bigger room. In smaller rooms the rectangular stand may take up too much space and make your room look even smaller than it is.

Your second option is a corner stand. This stand is great for smaller rooms as it is shaped to fit into the corner of a room and doesn’t protrude much into the living area. They are also available in a variety of sizes and materials so you won’t be limited in that sense. The only limitation it does have is that the stand will always be confined to the corner of a room, leaving few much options as to where you can position your TV.

If both of these flat screen TV stands still don’t tweak your fancy, you do have another option. You could mount you LCD or plasma on the wall. This is obviously the most space saving option and if done correctly can look very trendy and neat. If you do purchase a wall mount, it’s probably a good idea to get a professional to mount it for you. Not only will they be able to mount the TV but they will only make sure that your wires are as neat and concealed as possible.
